“Quarreling with a Dead War Hero”
The Presidency of the United States of America is being stained with dishonor by the current resident of the White House. It is a dishonor even to mention the current president’s name. Additional insult was heaped upon a dead war hero, John McCain, the most decorated senator ever to serve in the U.S Senate. He has been insulted by a man who dodged military service for “heel spurs!” The current president did not have the honor to even serve in the military, while John McCain served honorably and well! I hate to even call this man President, as he does not deserve the honor of this great office. I am today ashamed to be called an American with this man in the White House.
Even Lindsey Graham, a supporter of this president says, “I think the president’s comments about Sen. McCain hurt him [Trump] more than the hurt the legacy of Sen. McCain…I don’t like it when he says things about my friend John McCain.” (from NBC News)
What has happened to this nation when we allow such vileness and drivel to come from the mouth of our elected leader? Have we lost all honor and respect for the dead and a war hero at that? A draft dodger tries to destroy the contribution of a man who has done nothing but serve his country honorably! I will not salute this president, nor will I ever serve by his side. He is a dishonor to our nation, to our servicemen, to all citizens! May God judge between this little man and war hero John McCain. I salute John McCain, senator from Arizona (deceased) and his service to our nation! A person has to be a very little man to use the office of the President to try and destroy the legacy of his enemies. How petty can this little man become? He has no honor and tries to take honor away from those who oppose his vile pettiness! I would never have believed that I would ever hear such dishonorable words from the mouth of a president. May God help us! May God help us all!
